Remember that post I wrote a few months ago about bucket list ideas and traveling while you can? If you missed it, here is the link. This pandemic is the perfect example as to why you should travel while you can and not put it off for "later". Now who is regretting not taking that trip of a life time last year?

The brighter side to all this is that you will most likely be getting a chance to redeem yourself after this is all over and for now you can plan for the future and commit to that adventure this time! I hope you all learned your lesson. 😉

We got to go to Mardi Gras as planned this year, but that appears to be the last bucket list trip we planned fo this year that will be checked off the list, unfortunately. The Olympics in Tokyo has been postponed, for now, and Oktoberfest in Munich has been canceled for this year. Tickets were bought and reservations were made. I mean we were COMMITTED to seizing the year.

We are still in the process of getting credit back for our flights or at least be able to change the date for the same time next year for both events. Both flights are still in a "limbo" status until we arrive closer to the flight departure dates. If we do something about them now we will have to pay cancelation or change fees, which is no good. Best case scenario is that they cancel the flights closer to the dates so we don't have to pay any change fees just because they were booked B.C. (Before Covid). At this point anything could happen because no one knows when travel will be allowed ok and when it will be worth to travel. No one wants to go anywhere if things aren't open or you have to be quarantined before hand. The suspense kills me! Not traveling kills me!

One thing that gives me peace of mind is that I always book free cancelation for accommodations on booking.com. (this is an affiliate link, don't need to click on it but if you plan on booking something it would be appreciated if you did book through that link).

Can't preach to you how many times this awesome option has saved me so many headaches for unpredictable things happening, well you know, I have mentioned it a ton. I fully stand by it after all of this, even more if possible. I know that sounds like a sales pitch but it is not. I'm just genuinely glad I always stress getting free cancelations in my own travel plans.

Now that we can't travel and have no idea it is unknown as to when we go on about our adventures lives, this time is not a complete loss. A lot of airlines are offering amazing travel deals with no cancelation or change fees. Yes, they are trying to survive like the rest of us, but that means they are easing up on fees. We may never see this again. I repeat WE MAY NEVER SEE THIS AGAIN!! Take advantage if you can. For those of you that have trouble committing, this time gives you a perfect excuse for booking because you can always change your mind for freeeee!

You will save so much money while playing it safe. Before you book make sure you are booking through the airlines offering these amazing deals on such terms, it is best to directly work with the airline, sometimes adding a third party puts you in a bind with added regulations. Since most of us are saving money on not going out to events, or to bars and restaurants, INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE! You will be happy you did when we all get the green light to travel again.
